Core Activities
Project Overview
As part of the India-EU Water partnership, we are assisting GIZ in the implementation of the Environmental flows (E-flows) component of the project “Support to Ganga Rejuvenation phase II”. E-flows describe the quantity, timing, and quality of water flows required to sustais the human health and livelihoods that depend on these ecosystems. m4eco is assisting the assessment team by building a data collection and assessment methodology and transferring the results into consultation processes with key Indian stakeholders to identify 3 climate-sensitive improvement measures toward ensuring E-flows in the Ramganga basin.
m4eco are developing a living document, which is made available to all stakeholders, and is being updated with the results of the various consultations and assessment findings. The main result is an agreement on 3 key climate-sensitive improvement measures towards ensuring adequate E-Flows in the Ramganga Basin. The results of the analyses performed to arrive at final E-Flows scenarios and associated trade-offs are compiled in and presented along with improvement measures into a final report for strategic implementation.
